Since 2005, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has hosted the WSOP. Ultimately, however, in 2022 it was time to turn its back on the Rio. The historic venue is now just a distant memory of 22Bet.
So if you’re planning to be in the mix for the 2023 WSOP, book your hotel room at Bally’s & Paris Hotel & Casino – or at least near the new venue. Summers are hot in Las Vegas. Any ways you can cut back are worth their weight in gold.
Back in December, the schedule for this year’s WSOP was announced. The World Series of Poker will last almost two months. It kicks off on Tuesday, May 30 – the WSOP will end on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
If you’re mainly interested in the WSOP Main Event: The $10,000 Main Event starts on July 3. The day before, the Mini Main Event kicks off, which is much cheaper to play at $1,000.
The most affordable are probably the Colossus on June 30 at $400 and the Gladiators of Poker event ($300) on June 7. For the latter, the prize pool is already known: at least $3 million. Both events will give you a gigantic ROI if you win, but will take some effort and luck to win due to the large number of participants.
EPT WITH TWO NEW STOPS
The popular European Poker Tour has scheduled five stops for the 2023 calendar year. Two premieres will be celebrated in the process. From Wednesday, Feb. 15, through Sunday, Feb. 26, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile in France will welcome the EPT for the first time. It’s just a shame that the festival overlaps with German Poker Days at King’s.
The second completely new stop is the EPT at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino & Spa, which takes place in Cyprus. The first tournament starts on Wednesday, October 11, and the last chip changes hands on Sunday, October 22.
Other EPT festivals are scheduled for Monte-Carlo in April, Barcelona in August and Prague in December. All EPT Main Events require a €5,300 buy-in, making them among the most prestigious tournaments of the year. The high entry fee is sure to deter some players. Nevertheless, the prize money at the final table is always impressive.
Of course, events with lower buy-ins are also held at every EPT. In addition, at least one high-roller event is planned in each case, where the best players meet. Commentated live streams have been an integral part of the EPT for years, so watching at home is always a pleasure.
EPT IN PARIS
France. The heart of the country is Paris! There, players will be surrounded by friendly people, sightseeing, delicious food, wine, seafood and… Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. Players from all over Europe will come here to play and compete for the top prize.
For the first time in its history, EPT players were welcomed in the most romantic city in the world. The poker tournament has already taken place from February 15 to 26, 2023 and was held at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile.
POKER TOURNAMENT IN MONTE CARLO
The tournament will take place very soon in Monte Carlo from April 26 – May 6, 2023. This city is famous for its casino games and of course one of the most popular poker tournaments is held here in spring! But there is a very interesting nuance. The citizens of Monte Carlo cannot participate in the tournament.
The license holder and operator of this event is Société des Bains de Mer.
